For any mums who would like to labour at home for longer or to use for a homebirth I now stock La Bassine birth pool and accessories.
Using a labour pool reduces the need for pain medication, relaxes mum and means less perineal damage (even if mum gets out of the pool to give birth). (Birth pools are known as the midwives epidural) All the benefits with none of the side effects)
The bath is also a great option but you can move around in the labour pool and change positions during your labour.
