Is this Domestic abuse to Nigella Lawson?

I was shocked to see pictures of Charles Saatchi apparently choking, poking and silencing his wife, Nigella Lawson in the news today.

He has spoken out and said it was a playful tiff but from the look of the photos, it seems far more serious than that and not at all playful.

Scotland Yard are investigating it and she left their family home after it happened but has apparently, since returned.

What do ye think? It looks violent to me….I don’tthink there is anything funny about putting his hands around his wifes neck or pushing her nose or putting his hand over her mouth. Its horrible to look at and what’s most puzzling, is that she is sitting there allowing him to do it. I wonder if he has done it before??

I would have to agree. That is no playful tiff. Most women would not put up with it. Unfortunately, there are men that think this sort of behaviour is acceptable and women that are too scared to do anything about it.

I don’t know if you saw those awful pictures from Facebook – I saw them printed in Grazia and they were appalling. It was all a big joke to beat and rape women. The moderator in facebook had no issue with this sort of content until three tough women took them on in court.

I saw that on facebook, it was absolutely disgusting and frightening. It had the logo ‘Don’t wrap it and tap it; tape her and rape her’ and it had a picture of a woman with a gag over her mouth. This was deemed acceptable by facebook because it was a ‘bit of fun’ and it took those 3 women to bring them to court and sue them to have it removed. It should never have been allowed in the first place.

Facebook are weird – they removed photos of breastfeeding women even though these women were not actually showing anything more than the top of their breasts – there was no outright nudity and it was not sexual in any way – yet they allowed those sick, twisted sadistic anti-women pics to stay on until they were sued to remove them.

Its a crazy world we live in, really crazy.

Says she has left the family home. In fairness, it should be him leaving the family home as he is the one at fault for what he did but hopefully, she is getting the support she needs from family & friends to help her through thisawful time.
