Hi, just to let you know about this its a website where charities in ireland can appeal for donations online…my fav charity is of course Drogheda Animal Rescue..and they are running an appeal as below but i am sure many other charities are doing same or it may give you an idea to set up an appeal for a charity thats special to you…its easy to donate online & you can do so anonymously if you wish…

    Hi All

Please help DAR turn €2.00 into €2,000.00 in time for Christmas.

We know as much as anyone that times are difficult as we see this daily with the amount of dog and cats being surrendered into our care and abandoned.

That is why we are not looking for much, only €2.00.

This would be a fantastic Christmas present for the animals in our care. As you are aware DAR is a 100% voluntary and without the support of the public we would not be able to do the work that we do.

    Thank you for your support.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas from all the volunteers and animals of DAR.

    About my charity

    Drogheda Animal Rescue

Drogheda Animal Rescue provides shelter and care to abandoned, strayed, neglected, abused, and injured dogs and cats. All of the animals in our care will be neutered before being rehomed as we support neutering as a means to control unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. All potential new homes & owners are vetted to ensure that the animals will be well looked after and cared for by their new owners. We constantly seek to instill responsible dog & cat ownership into the public and raise the awareness of animal welfare in Ireland.

It is our policy not to put a healthy animal to sleep. If an animal has a serious injury, terminal illness, or is deemed a danger or risk to the public, we will then have that animal put to sleep upon careful consideration and recommendation by our vets & animal behaviouralists.

Dar’s total is going up slowly..thanks to anyone who donated..thats fun bit you can see the figure growing by day… 🙂
