Does anyone know if there are any babies music classes similar to Jo Jingles in Dundalk.

    Hi,

There is a lady who does a Kindergarten Music Class in the Redeemer once a week. But she only does one class and she’s had the same students I think since she started. I tried to get my little one into it last year and I was told I was on a waiting list but it was very unlikely we’d get a slot.

Mary Kinsella in Dunleer does Music Carousel. I took my eldest daughter there years ago when she started first, but my experience of her over the past few years is that she’s not just as dedicated to it nowadays, kids don’t learn very much for the cost of the classes.

The only music class I could find that suited us was to go to Jo Jingles in Drogheda which wasn’t that practical on a weekly basis.

In the end I opted for dance classes. I bring her to the Malone Academy of Dance, where they do a Melody Bear Ballet Class for pre-schoolers. Its the only music related thing I could find in town. Its down the Coes Road near the NCT Centre/Curves, etc and they have a website.

Hiya, thanks for replying, very helpful. What age can they start at the Malone Academy of Dance as my LO is only 17 months now.

    Its 3 I’m afraid.

Unless your able to head to Drogehda, I think you may just do what I did, keep singing to her, clapping out rhythms and turning any little jobs into a song and a dance… you look a bit mad by times, but thats all part of motherhood, lol…
