Was in IKEA yesterday. I have only even been in an IKEA once before in the UK, i never made it up to Belfast. You could easily spend a fortune, got a table & chair set that i picked out about 2 years ago and a couple of bits. Need loads of new book cases and shelving and better storage for the kids toys..but thats another day and more money.
The ideas and concepts are brillant worth a visit just for that. A friend of mine been to Belfast & Ballymun and said that there is a big variance on some of the prices..flaming sterling

I heard that they closed the store today, they just asked people to leave the store! 😯 Looked on the rte site and it says nothing so I assume it was a fire drill or something.

I’ve been to Belfast, I got bedroom stuff for ds1…. got loads of stuff for 140 sterling, but couldnt even find a chest of drawers down here for that price and deffo not one that looks as good as I got

Wouldnt recommend bring the kids if you can at all avoid it. Its given me loads of ideas, moved the boys bunks around last night and now they want all of the room done, spent last night clearing out all of their books and spend an hour sorting out about 250 markers and putting lids on and into boxes…..i know i lead such an enlightened life.

Going to pick up a couple of book cases from Argos, i have 2 already from there they are extra tall & extra deep and just great. The boys old bedroom now becoming the library..posh or what 😆 😆

Where is the Library in the east or west wing? 😆 😆 😆

Where did you buy your bunk beds, A wants to get some so M can share a room with him…. I dont mind as it would free up a room and we get a spare room back…. I was going to move the office/junk room up to the attic so this could be a guest room….. but the idea of bunk beds sounds soooo much better and much cheaper too.

I got them made, Alpine Furniture, you know the furniture place on the Ballymakenny road, just passed the entrance to Castlemanor.

Superb quality, 100% better than anything in the shops. Its amazing the emails that i keep, €362 for the frame and mattresses from €100-€250
depending on your choice. We got like a stained pine colour, cant emphasis how strong and sturdy they are.

Sorry the Library is in the East Wing, next to the grand staircase. The Butler is complaining about the extra dusting…you just cant get quality husbands anymore 😆 😆

Taylor – you should call up to Homeplan on the Cement Road – they are closing and have great deals on… we bought a leather sofa bed – it was 449 and we got it for 180! Definitely worth a look….

Oh that sounds fab, we have no guestroom now….. the boys have there own room (A is now in the old guestroom) dh was looking into moving the office up to the attic, but its working out very expensive….. so the bunk beds were another idea more for my mother to share with A. But no room for friends to stay, we could get a leather sofa in the playroom and have a double guest bed….. Oh will have to call up over the weekend
