Know baby is a bit young but even to go to toddler groups will give you the chance to meet mums with young children in your area. Just getting out of the house and meeting people will do yourself and baby the world of good. Cheap and cheerful.

Toddler groups are more for the mammies then the babies..there is a lovely one on Palace Street under the Church of Ireland Church… so nice, mammy or daddy gets tea and toast and the kids get juice and toast or fruit.
Every Tusday 10am to 12, 2 euro… there are steps down but if you ring the bell someone will come out and carry your buggy down.

frogglestrap on the swimming there is no right age – i looked into this when on dd1 and some will say wait until 6months or older some say as soon as first injections – some pools do have rules that theyhave to have 2/4/6month injections. Aslo try check out the pool first to make sure it’s warm enough – i took dd2 to Bettystown Court to the Friday morning swim and she loved it!
