Host Family Training/Info evening at Edgewater College

There will be a Host family Training Evening held at Edgewater College on Wednesday 8th June from 7-9pm.

All host families, current and new are invited to attend.

This evening will cover areas such as:

• Hosting in general

• Cultural understanding – such as appropriate communication and expression, customs, habits, lifestyles and attitudes, diet

• Conflict resolution skills – Managing conflict, Effective communication skills, Active listening

• The legal context – Child protection, Health and Safety

• Suggested menu’s recipes etc

We would like all host families to confirm their attendance – so we will have an idea of expected numbers – RSVP with your name if you will attend.
