My friend from Monaghan is due her baby in just over a week. But she was told last week at clinic that the baby is very big and they want her to go into labour in a controlled environment (3rd baby – might come quicker than the other two, 30 miles to travel thanks to Monaghan General being closed,etc.)
Anyway they would have taken her in and started her on Monday but they can only do 3 induced labours per day, so she has to go back Friday… Honestly its worse this country is getting by the minute. They are giving out numbers to have your baby now like they do in the Deli & Butchers when there is a queue….
That’s outrageous.
Hope your friend is ok. And not too upset about it (easier said than done) so she can have a relaxe birth,
when hosp decide it’s her turn 😕Best of luck,
