    Hi all,

For anyone interested in a different kind of birth – i.e. one that’s relaxing and not painful, (yes, it can happen!) check out the article on page 4 of this weeks Drogheda People, the free paper that you can pick up around the town.

    thanks!

By the way, for anyone interested in homebirths, apparentely there is talk of OLOL coming up with a scheme like the ones they have in Dublin, where it is a free service.

It’s worth looking into if you want a birth that’s relaxing and really special – as long as you’re healthy and confident about giving birth, it could be just what you’re looking for.

It worked out great for me and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Definitely much differernt to my previous two hospital births!

If anyone wants to know more, please feel free to ask or PM me.

I read your story and it was brilliant, its sounded like such a relaxing experience. Love the idea of the baby being born and the others still in bed asleep, great on the other kids. I know my ds was so upset wth me being in olol in lobour for 36 hours

When I was having my first baby if someone had suggested a home birth to me I would have told to go back to hugging the tree they had obviously just left!! I thought it was for mad women but I was so wrong!

After two hospitals births I just wanted something different on baby number 3. I am just a regular gal, I’m not a hippy or anything like that and I still can’t quite believe that I actually did it and that it did not really hurt – it was pretty easy and totally amazing.

I wish more mums could have such a wonderful birth experience, so hopefully the article will give a few mums to be an idea of what its all about and maybe some will go for it.

if I ever get pregnant again I will definitely go for another home birth.

    Thanks,
    Siobhan
