ParticipantHi all!
I’m a total "chat" novice living in Drogheda and have just started maternity leave- due March 10th. Love to get to know other mums/ mums to be in the area- moved here from the UK a couple of years ago and don’t really know anyone locally outside of work. I also have a teenager but sooo long ago now like starting all over again!!
Anyone know of any mums to be or "bumps and babes" groups around?

KeymasterHi Jojoe,
I am 15 weeks pregnant with number 4!
There are lots of get togethers going on in the area you can go to. On the 1st Tuesday of every month there is a get together in Bagel Bar, Laurence Town Centre. Its from 10-12 and parking is free for Mumstown members. There are free nibbles and plenty of chat, its a really nice event to go to with your bump on 1st March and then with baby, after he/she arrives.
There are cinema nights out, check out this link for details: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11930
There is an ask the expert section on here (see the box on the left) and there is a pregnancy and birth expert, so if you have any questions in that area, feel free to ask away!
There is a good section for mums-to-be too where you chat with other mums who are expecting and then, when baby comes, pop over into newborns for chat.
plenty going on, hope you enjoy it, you’ll get the hang of it in no time and if you need any help, just ask, we are happy to help 🙂

MemberI’m in Dundalk – also a blow in. From west of Ireland but here a long time. Ds3 is now ten days old! 😀
Louth County Childcare Committee 041-6859912 can give you loads of info on parent-toddler groups in area.
Great one in Redeemer Family Resource Centre (Dundalk) on Thurs 10.30-12.30 & nursing mums meet upstairs in Costas in The Marshes (also Dundalk) on Wed 10-11.45 (come if even vaguely considering it for number two – we’re mad for company!!!)
If you know any dads who are free on Tues 10.30-12.30 could you let them know that there is a dads meet-up in the M1 Castlebellingham Service Station (take exit 16 for Dundalk, go straight back onto M1 heading for Drogheda, drive for about 4 min). It doesn’t matter if the kids aren’t with him. Its just a bit of craic to get dads chatting & socialising & out of the house!
