I just had someone on to me who gave up smoking almost 5 years ago, which is great news but once you are at least 12 months off cigarettes, you are entitled to have non-smoker discount rates for life and specified illness cover plans. He was paying 140 per month and it now reduces to less than 80 per month! If he had let me know when he was 12 months off them, he’d have saved almost 3,000 by now!

If anyone has any other clever ways of throwing away money, please write them on the back of a 50 euro note and post them to me

Should have mentioned, non-smoker discount rates also applies to Income Protection (sometimes called PHI, Permanent Health Insurance.)

Is there anyone who has been off the cigarettes for at least 12 months and not looked at this area??

It would only take minutes to show you what the non-smoker premiums would be 😉
