MemberTake Time To Relax
Your skincare routine should not be complicated. A basic routine takes minutes and should be an opportunity to relax. Every night make the effort to clean your skin especially if you wear make-up – it’ll make you feel better to wake up with cleansed skin. Being happy within yourself gives your skin a glow. And remember laugher lines are not wrinkles!Keep It Simple
We are bombarded with information about products but it is important to get back to basics. Thoroughly cleansing your skin, particularly at night, is essential. No matter how tired you are its important to remove make-up to freshen the skin. During the day wear a minimum of SPF 15, even in winter, to protect you complexion against the elements. Don’t forget your neck and décolletage as they show ageing also.Treat Your Skin
Giving your skin a luxurious treat doesn’t need to take a lot of time or money. A massage using body oil is just perfect just before you go to bed. Gently pinch and massage the skin on your forehead, cheeks and jaw line to give you face a rosy glow. Gently exfoliate to get rid of dead skin if you complexion looks dull and tired. You can make your own exfoliation by mixing a small about of either sugar or salt with your cleanser and massaging in before rinsing. Sometimes it’s just enough to use an old towel to rub the skin. For a relaxing treat put two drops of lavender oil into a basin of hot water and inhale for a few minutes. Then soak a washcloth in the lavender water, wring it out and place it on your face for a few minutes.
You Are What You Eat
Keep a bottle of water in your handbag. If you don’t like the taste of water then add a slice of lemon for flavour. For good skin it’s important to include plenty of omega 3 and omega 6 rich foods and antioxidants in your diet. Blueberries are brilliant, as it oily fish such as salmon or tuna. Stay away from sugar.
Getting great skin is about balance and thinking ahead. If you’re rushing about, carry a banana in your bag so you are not tempted by quick fix sugary foods or drinks.
Banish Bad Habits
Smoking is hideous for the skin. It creates wrinkles and damages the skin terribly. Similarly, excess alcohol is also bad. However, these are all things we know and things we should be tying to change. Your skin will thank you for it!

KeymasterHave to say, sleep and water are brill for my skin. When I am tired or dehydrated, problems start!
Just spent a week in the sun and the Elave intensive moisturiser was fab – got a little burnt on one area of my neck one day and my hubby got a little burnt on his back (the bits we missed with suncream, silly us!!!) but a few lashings of Elave on it really, really helped.
It was so nice to put it on after a day in the sun – cool and calming, definitely one to take on holiday. 😀

MemberYes i think the main points to keeping your skin good are (in priority order) – drinking 2-3 litres of water per day, not smoking, wearing sun factor all year round and moisturising well… 😀 Don’t know if its working for me but thats what i try to do anyway. I also think its important to remove your make-up every night even on late nights out.
