MemberA while ago the GAA club on piltown road did host adult lessons.
The gaelscoil on mil road does it as well, ask them if it’s open to parents whose kids are attending the school or to all.Fabienne

KeymasterHi Julymam,
Perhaps get in touch with Edgewater college in Drogheda, they may be able to help you.
also, Gaelscoil an Brhadain Feasa does them, you can contact the scoil to see if they have any spaces.

InactiveOn the subject of Irish, just to let you know in my daughters secondary school they are no longer doing the oral Irish exam for Intercert (so assuming Leaving Cert also). Its all written now. Lots of the students from the Irish schools are bit put out they don’t get to use their oral Irish now. They say they are much better at speaking it than writing it.? I don’t know why this is but it means the subject is being taught for written work only, not as an oral language.

Ds wont be starting for a couple of yrs so just enquiring at the mo, I had a look on edgewaters website the other day and couldn’t find Irish lessons.

MemberSorry for hijacking your thread but I’m looking for one-to-one Irish classes so I’ve been looking for information and I found this:
https://www.gaelchultur.com/index.php?v … =4&lang=en
DIFE are running an ‘Irish for parents’ course I think it’s on Tuesday nights for 10 weeks.
These might be good for someone who studied Irish before? I’m looking for more intense classes to prepare for an Irish interview, if anyone on here runs classes in Drogheda it would be great to hear from you 😀 -
