Was really annoyed at weekend when I brought my 8yr old son and his pal to waterpark. Entrance fee for the 2 lads was 11euro each, also cost 11euro for me to go in to watch them. Rip off I think in these recessionary times, do you think??

March 15, 2010 at 10:02 pm #91673Sabrinab 08MemberYou know wat this is such a prime example of Ireland.sorry but it is!! this is goin on since they opened, my friends husband took 5 kids there durin the summer hols last yr and 11 euro each they demanded that he paid 11 euro to watch, they said they needed a adult ova 14 th be there. 2 of the kids in quetion were over 14 so he said there is 2 there and he refused to pay anymore..55 as it was.!!! Surely your paying not ony for the use but the supervision.why should you have to pay to supervise yourself.doesnt make sense!!!
March 16, 2010 at 9:24 am #91682MOWAMemberWhen I questioned why I had to pay 11euro to watch, (last time was a few euro if I remember), I was told that everyone had to pay going through the turnstalls, new policy as many people who were just "watching" were then changing into their swimwear and using the facilites. A simple soultion would be different colour "tags" that could be placed on wrists surely. Its just a ripoff I feel. Won’t be going there again!!!!
March 16, 2010 at 10:11 am #91696munchinParticipantthink my little wouldn’t like the water spraying from the features anyway but 11euro to watch eh no thanks!
back to NAC for me so it’s expensive at i think € 14 per adult last time i was there BUT you can stay as long as you like and have wave pool, lazy river, childs play area, giant slides, bubble pool etc etcMarch 16, 2010 at 5:03 pm #91726Herather 2010MemberActually i was recently up at the National Aquatic Centre and got a shock when i had to pay 14euro in to watch the children and even at that i had to get into swimming gear…So funtasia is actually cheaper than NAC at 11euro ..Same in other waterparks around the country everybody has to pay in unfortunately.
March 17, 2010 at 7:37 pm #91769munchinParticipantoh didn’t realise that about the nac – if not getting into the pool (my dad would get in) i would sit in coffee shop with dd2 then go into dressing rooms to dress dd1 and was never charged – mind you last time i did that was 6months ago.
Haven’t been there since but there were always people at the kids area not in swim gear. -
