Do you think positive changes need to be made to the way breastfeeding is perceived in Ireland?
Would you like to make a real, active contribution to these changes?
If so, Friends of Breastfeeding might be the organisation for you.
Friends of Breastfeeding was set up to foster a positive breastfeeding culture in Ireland, to raise awareness of breastfeeding support options, and to dispel myths surrounding breastfeeding.
After a great first year – in which the organisation ran a high-profile campaign http://www.friendsofbreastfeeding.ie/press.htm in the national press, set up a successful website and blog, and initiated a countrywide Breastfeeding Friendly Initiative – Friends of Breastfeeding is inviting anyone who would like to help continue the work of promoting and supporting breastfeeding in Ireland to get actively involved.
If this sounds like you, come along to the Friends of Breastfeeding open meeting on Sunday 25th of April in Citywest, Dublin, from 3pm to 5pm. This meeting is an ideal opportunity for you to have a chat with others who are passionate about breastfeeding.
