FoBF and National Breastfeeding Week

Hi Everyone!
Jolene here from Friends of Breastfeeding. As you may know, for World Breastfeeding Week, Friends of Breastfeeding ran a breastfeeding art exhibition in Holles St Outpatients Dept with a launch by Maureen Fallon on Wed 4th Aug. The art comprised of photos from a photoshoot we ran in Collins Barracks in Sept 2009 and original paintings done especially for the exhibition. It ran for 4th & 5th Aug in Holles St and then moved to Citywest Shopping Centre for 6th & 7th Aug. On 6th we ran another photoshoot, giving us a beautiful range of shots for exhibition for National Breastfeeding Week.
The great news is that that was only the beginning! Our next plan involves running 4-5 breastfeeding art exhibitions across the country for National Breastfeeding Week, but to do this we need your help! Some possible venues are Cork, Waterford, Dublin Northside, Dublin Southside, Letterkenny and Kildare. We need to form teams to organise each exhibition and we’re inviting you to take part. We are also forming two teams, one to focus on advertising and one for Breastfeeding information(updating our website with breastfeeding information, putting together info for exhibition stands, creating flyers) and they’re open for anyone anywhere in the country to get involved.
Friends of Breastfeeding can provide a full range of artwork for exhibition, but if anyone does know of anyone else who might be interested in lending or donating breastfeeding artwork, the wider the variety the better!
