In recognition of International Women’s Day Drogheda & District Chamber are launching our “Women Who Lead By Example” Awards this month. Do you know a woman in Drogheda & District who demonstrates passion, commitment and ability through her work or role in the community?
We are seeking out the ladies of Drogheda and the surrounding region and want to know how through their work they inspire others around them. This campaign will culminate in an Awards ceremony in The d Hotel on Wednesday 25th March. Our guest of honour will be the irrepressible Mary Ann O’Brien of Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates. Put the date in your diary, get out your favourite pair of shoes and join us that night for a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements of women in our community. We do hope that you will rally behind this Awards programme and make nominations for the women in the region who you think exemplify talent and leadership by virtue of their work and actions. We were delighted when Mary Ann O’Brien of Lily O’Brien’s Chocolates accepted our invitation to speak – she is truly an inspirational character who, despite the challenges in life, has been incredibly positive and successful. We look forward to hearing her speak and to having her present the 4 awards to our winners.

• CommunityWe are planning a great party style celebration: champagne, dinner, goodie bags and entertainment. It is an opportunity for ladies from all walks of life to gather their colleagues and friends and join in the celebration.
