i found this out today i never knew this we broke a CFL energy saving bulb today, and there’s mercury in them….they advise to leave the room for 20 mins, ventilate room and if hoover remove bag and dispose, or bagless clean out, put the broken bulb in a sealed bag along with rubber gloves for picking up….
as exposure to mecury is dsangerous to children and unborn babies….needless to say i freaked out……
so be very very careful dealing with CFL bulbs, as they may save the planet in energy costs actually breaking them can cause hazards and when in ladfills can seep into soil etc etc…..
so i askare they worth it????
