The Irish Cancer Society founded in 1963 is the National Charity dedicated to the control and eradication of cancer. They are financed entirely by voluntary contributions from the public and receive no Government funding. Members of their committee all serve in a voluntary capacity and they rely on thousands of dedicated volunteer around the country for much of their activities. The generosity of so many people who give so freely of their time and money enables them to provide their service free of charge.

This year for the 15th year the people of Drogheda and the environs will gather in the Westcourt Hotel on the 11th of March to support the Daffodil Day Fashion Show in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. This Fashion Show is one of the social events of the year and supported by all businesses and people within not only the town but the surronding counties.
