Cross Border Orchestra on UTV Thursday evening

Hi Everyone,

I prattle on about this Orchestra from time to time….

We had a busy weekend this week, 2 concerts in Newry Town Hall and 2 in Saval GAA Hall, which is up near Hiltown to anyone familiar with the area. Over 800 children sang with us, no schools from Co. Down had partaken in any of our concerts before (they are usually restricted by the Associated Board of Music) so it was a debut for us all.

Anyway, if you’d like to see what its about, UTV came on Sunday to Saval They filmed for 5 hours and they are broadcasting a feature on the 7.30 show tomorrow evening.

I think I stayed well away from the camera’s, but they took some lovely shots of the Orchestra playing with the kids in the background and interviewed our Founding Director, Maestro and some of the kids involved. So hopefully it will give a good idea of what we are about.
