Deli
MemberHi All
Thought i would post to warn others.
Went to Kids Kutz in Mothercare yesterday to get my 2 little girls hair trimmed. I have had 3 year olds cut there before and it was 9.99 so stupidly never thought it would be anything else.
Anyway after trimming my 2 children (2 & 3 ) so it was litterly a trim i was charge 16.99 for my 3 year old and 14.99 for my 2 year old.
I am in complete shock still – nearly 32.00 .
Rang their head office to complain and was told if i had checked the price with the girl beforehand and said i thought it was 9.99 pp i would have got it for that price….so now a price isnt a price and unless you ask you dont get the cheaper price…sounds crazy to me.
Just to warn other mother’s…its crazy when a local hairdress will cut for 6.00 pp – oh to be so wise yesterday…could have save 20.00
Hope this prevents others from falling into the same trap i did.

MemberOMG thats crazy, will they not refund you.
I’ve never been to Mothercare to get the kids hair done i’ve always gone to where I go to get my hair done. When my eldest was younger now 6 they didn’t charge me because they weren’t taking much off.
Can’t believe it was so expensive

InactiveHi Deli,
Sharkey’s cuts for kids in Malahide have a special offer on at the moment and have sent us a bunch of money off flyers to give to our members.
We will be at the weekly parent & baby/toddler coffee morning next Tuesday, 8th Feb at The Gourmet Food Parlour in the Grange, Ballyboughal, Co Dublin, so if you are near that area and want to pop in we’ll save a few for you and this will cover you for the next few haircuts.
Sharkey’s cuts for kids usually charge 9.99 for a child’s haircut and we have vouchers for €3 off so it would be €7 for a cut.
Hope that helps.

MemberI’ve two boys and go to the barbers thankfully….€7 each though but i don’t have to go too often so don’t mind and every now and then the eldest gets his hair done courtesy of his daddy with the clippers at home! disgraceful all the same that they can charge that much for cutting kids’ hair…there isn’t muchto come off 🙁

Participantthe place i go to with dd1 charged me €5 first 3 times but i was charged €10 last time mind they did blowdry her hiar etc – they make such a fuss of her too she loves it, thankfully though she’s no fringe or anything so it’s only about twice a yr max.

InactiveBarbers are cheaper for the boys, wouldnt bring them to my hairdressers and they wouldnt go 😆
But my girls I bring to mine and now they are older they still go…..works well.
But that is a joke of a price and telling you it could have been cheaper if you said it…..customer service not.

ParticipantAll that just makes me think how much I save by just slapping on some shaving gel and sliding the gillette fusion power over my head! 😆 😆 😆

if i could get away with it then so would I 😆 😆 😆 but seriously it is ridiculous what hairdressers charge – not just for kids but for us adults too….some only spend 10 maybe15 mins cutting your hair, others talk too much and then make a mess of your hair..and then u get a great hairdresser that does what you ask and doesn’t charge a bomb, glow here i come…. 🙂 🙂

MemberMy sister in law took her little one to Peter Marks to get her hair done, I was so shocked at how much it was €34.00 and that was with a 10% discount………. The child is only 4 years old, couldn’t believe it….

Participantwell i’ll most certainly not be going anywhere near Peter Marks – i hope they washed, styled and blow dried the childs hair!
My dd is only 4 and the hairdressers still does a dry cut on her hair as in she sprays it and then cuts it – last time she "treated" dd to a blow dry – missy thought she was lady muckFebruary 9, 2011 at 10:39 pm #109658amrie1
MemberI’m not sure what they done, but seriously even if it was a wash, cut and blowdry they didn’t take loads of her hair as it wasn’t that long to begin with… Thats crazy money in a recission…
If they can charge that i’m in the wrong job!!!!!!!!!!!
