ParticipantAs a S African…. my knowledge of coal is somewhat limited! 😳 😆
But…. my neighbour who is a Dubliner says that the Polish coal is a better quality / burns hotter coal….
Now, for how true this is, I don’t know, I’m ignorant… but he wouldn’t get anything else…. and yeah, it is a smoke coal…. but I’ve never had any smoke in the house or anything… goes straight up the chimney!November 30, 2010 at 2:42 pm #105506Taylor5
Memberoh the only reason i ask is that i want the smokey coal, but it cant be sold in Drogheda, the Top garage can only sell smokeless coal…. i want the good smokey warm stuff, just couldnt remember if it was the polish stuff i was looking for….. it was just coal the last time i was buying it, 10 years ago 😆 😆 😆

Inactivethanks ladies…and thanks Yvonne. Sadly Taylor5 Drogheda is one of the areas you have to use ‘smokeless’ fuels supposedly. Shops in the area can’t sell ‘smonkey’ fuel if thats a word 😆

Please
November 30, 2010 at 10:20 pm #105562chewieodie
ParticipantI was also liking the idea of the ton of turf…. but wondering where I would store it to be honest…. if it were to come in the bags then that would be "do-able"… but a skip bag?…. tricky….
