We spent couple of days this week in Clonmel and have to say, its a lovely place. Such a nice town with some lovely shops and cafes and toystores (yep, had to find a toystore to keep the kids happy!)

Really enjoyed it. We stayed at the Clonmel Park Hotel, nice pool and leisure centre and that kept kids happy as they could swim for hours and thats all they wanted anyways!!

We visited Rock Of Cashel and were very glad we brought a picnic, as it was much nicer than anything we could have gotten there!! You cannot beat a decent ham sandwich and few packs of crisps!

Would recommend if anyone is doing a stay-cation and is looking for nice places to stop along the way.

Sabbi i was just down there too… stayed in the same hotel too 😆 😆 😆 Great minds and all that.
Did the Rock of Cashel, the boys were amazed at it and we had a list of questions from the 5 year old for the guide 🙄 One question which i thought was very good, was why was the broken high cross not repaired… answer: Its a private grave so the opw cant fix it, its up to the family who own the grave, the opw would love to fix it as it would look amazing if done….. very proud of my 5 year old for asking such a question and the tour guide and the americans could believe he was only 5, one very proud mammy (and daddy!)
We did the Mitchelstown caves and Fota Wildlife park/ house and gardens

The Leo the Lion childrens club was brilliant, we have enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another bargain break away in the Arklow Bay Hotel for October (ds first midterm break so want to make it special)
All part of the Brennan Hotel Group, same group as the Bettystown Court Hotel…. oh we spent a fortune in the toy shop too, they had a MASSIVE SALE on, wanted to do a few bits for xmas but couldnt 🙄 little eyes and all that
