I just want to say a big well done to everyone who braved the real cold and took a dip in the sea this morning. Its really heart warming to see so many people leave their cosy beds and homes to swim for charity on St.Stephens Day.
I felt so guilty wearing my hat and warm coat and there was my daughter who is 10 wearing her swimsuit.
She saw the documentary on RTE this year and after seeing how a little boy had to have his tonsils removed with no anesthetic she promised to do the swim to help other children like him.
Next year I’ll have to be brave and do it….if my 10yr old daughter can and she is only a little thing then I can too………
OMG I seen that programme too and it still sends shivers down my spine, fair play to your daughter. I forgot about it I would have loved to go out and see the swim but fat to warm and lazy indoors
Hope the swim went well
