Every year we try to come up with a selection of gift ideas to make Christmas shopping that little bit easier for all the Mammies!!

We especially like to recommend Irish companies and products and will do our best to come up with some clever gift ideas that are made in Ireland and won’t break the bank!!!

First up is the Lottie Dolls. We absolutely love these little dolls. They are made between Donegal and London and are so clever. They are based on the measurements of a 9 year old girl, so they are kind of an anti-Barbie!

They are around €20 and the range is extensive. Lots of the dolls wear glasses and they are all clever and independent and good role models for girls – some of our favourites are Butterfly Protector, Schooldays Lottie, Snow Queen, Kite Flying Finn.

Will make a great stocking filler for lots of girls and boys this year!

‘Snow Queen’ http://www.lottie.com/collections/lotti … ottie-doll (which was created before Frozen fever!)

And for the little girl with glasses, her favourite was ‘Rockabilly Lottie’

Really brilliant and well priced at €20. Cannot say enough good things about them. I know I will be buying more of these for our daughters birthdays this year.

SoSu nail polish ranges are available in Penney’s stores nationwide for 7.99 and they have a Gelish finish. Nice gift for a friend or KK. Better to go to the larger Penneys’ stores, like Marshes, for the best selection!

Kilkenny Silver, another great Irish jewellery company have some lovely pieces this year too and very well priced. I sometimes like to wear delicate jewellery and they have really gorgeous, understated tennis bracelets, necklaces and earrings that are lovely. Especially good for workwear or nights out when you only need simple jewellery to complete a look.

Here are some lovely pieces from them that we especially like and they have stockists nationwide. You can pick them up in selected Boutiques, Jewellers and some Pharmacies too.

I got a gift from http://www.musthaveaccessory.com/ last year for Christmas and it is one of the most complimented pieces of jewellery I own!

I got a rose gold necklace and matching earrings and they are so dressy but not heavy and are good quality, contemporary costume jewellery. They have a lovely range and start at really keen prices.

I especially like the loaded pearl necklace they have for this year, it’s so glam. Perfect for a fashionista Mammy or Glamorous Granny!!!

And the bracelet sets of gold, silver and rose gold trios are perfect for friends and sisters and come in at around €20

Its tricky picking shoes that a 10 year old girl will like. Our daughter is caught in between being a child and a teenager and wants to wear ‘grown up’ things so we are trying to find a balance.

When I came across these for tweens, teens, I thought they looked really cool and we are getting a pair for our daughter for Christmas. They will be cool with a dress or jeans and will give her a more grown up look without being too grown up.

And for the Daddies – these ones are great. My hubby has a few pairs of Skechers and loves them. They’re just so comfy and last really well:

For the teenagers, check out http://www.biofreshskincare.ie/ who run make-up classes for teens.

Its a really good quality make-up and its good to show them how to apply it, so they don’t fall into the trap of putting on too much!!!

If someone you love likes to cook, a Sauté casserole from our Pro range would be a good gift this Christmas for a number of reasons.

    1. For busy parents you just need to brown the meat add your veg and stock and pop in the oven on a low heat. This leaves you free to do the school run, or go for a much needed walk without slaving over a hot stove.
    2. It produces extremely flavoursome nutritious meals for all the family.
    3. No worrying about delicate non stick coatings. Despite being enamelled our new pro range has scratch and stain resistant enamels and therefore strong enough to resist even wire wool in the cleaning process.
    4. The sauté in particular is very versatile – it can be used as a Fry pan, roasting dish and also as a casserole. (Multi-taksing, we love that!!)
