Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to get some ideas for christening venues in and around Drogheda. Would like a buffet option for about 30 people… house way too small to cope!
Thanks
July 9, 2009 at 1:45 pm #75283hjsMemberhad mine for my two at the d last year – everybody found it a really relaxing venue, upstairs in the mezzanine room, and i did too, most importantly! can’t remember prices for buffet but they had hot served and cold serve yourself and was all lovely. Talk to a girl called Marianne Fanning down there for more info, she’s nothing but lovely and will really help you. People have booked overnight stays, weekends and functions and all sorts there following being at the christening for my two, they were that impressed by the helpfulness of staff and easy-going nature of venue. hth!

July 13, 2009 at 10:20 pm #75378janmacMemberJust about to have a christening in the Boyne valley hotel. Thought that the garden would be good for the children(20 children attending) and 20 adults. Will keep you posted on how it goes.

July 14, 2009 at 10:04 pm #75410HappymammyMemberHi
I had mine in the carranstown house on the road into Duleek. The room was free to hire it was fab. We had a dance floor and own bar etc. I got caterer to do hot food. We had a dj and entertainer etc. There is a beer garden and decking smoking area. Absolutely fantastic venue for christening. Basically cost us for the dj, caterer and entertainer but if you didnt want to have all that it would be room hire for free they are just delighted with the business. It is a family run pub and they are so helpful. They also have pool table outside and juke box for kids etc, she told me i could have had a bouncy castle on the green outside aswell if i wanted. They called us a load of 7 seater cabs aftrwards. We could have stayed all night if we wanted. Higly recommend the carranstown house. (Formely the milestone) 🙂
