Well, we thought we were getting away with it but today our 5 year old woke up with the dreaded spots on her….and as the day has gone on, more and more spots have been appearing.

Our 3 year old had it 2 weeks ago and the nurse said if the other children did not show signs within a week, that they would probably not get it. Seems that prediction was wrong and now we are gearing up for tepid baths, eurax, phenergan and the works all over again….

Just hoping she does not get it as bad as her little sister did. Fingers crossed its a mild dose.

Have to say again, many thanks for all the brilliant advice the mums on here gave us when our LO got it 2 weeks ago, would not have known about the phenergan etc without your help and that made a huge difference, so thanks.

As awful as it is, feel more equipped to deal with it this time around as we have an idea what to expect.

The poor little thing – she said to us this morning ‘Oh well, at least I have it now and I’ll never get it again’….reckon she has been listening to us grown’s up a bit too much :D

Sabbi – sorry to hear the chickenpox are doing the rounds in your household! nuisance….my 5 year old had it, went to doc and he said – see you in two weeks time with the other little fella – and low and behold the 2 year old got it exactly 2 weeks later!! sorry to be the bearer of bad news but i’d say the other little one who hasn’t had it is more than likely to get it as well…sorry 🙁 🙁

If you need any help or anything just give me a call…hope you are all well, besides for the chicken pox 😉

You’ll be an expert on the subject.

    Children share toys and chickenpox.
Sometimes, they don’t share the toys, but always (nearly) the chickenpox.

    Take care of your family.

Well – now our 7 year old has it too. So thats the 3 of them. One is over it and the other 2 are slap bang in the middle of it.

The 7 year old does not seem to have it too bad, the spots are about 2-3 days old (we are such bad parents, had not checked him since his bath Wednesday) but found them on him yesterday – after he had been out playing football with his friends! So hopefully he will not be too bad with them, he does not have too many spots and fingers crossed he will be ok in a few days.

The 5 year old has quite a few but is in good form. She was sick Friday but seems in better form today.

Lets hope its not as bad as when their sister got it because she was so sick. Hope they don’t get it as bad as that. Fingers crossed….

Knackered today, were an up and down night with itchy children complaining in their sleep!
