All three of my children had Chicken Pox together. Handy but hard work! Just as one started to recover the next one got it. The rule of thumb is that Chicken Pox is 3 days coming, 3 days there, 3 days going. That’s exactly how it was for me. It is all about keeping the itch at bay and lots of TLC.

To this end here is my top tip: after an itch relief bath with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate – the little red tin you bake with) dab on Calamine Cream not Lotion. Doctors always recommend calamine lotion but Calamine Cream is way better.Calamine lotion is too runny and ends up on the bathroom floor which is not what you need mid Chicken pox. Ovelle Calamine Cream is the only cream version on the market and it stays on the spots & cools and soothes & if you are lucky you might get some sleep!
    Ask in your local Chemist.
