Costal carpets in bettystown are alwasy doing offers and McCormacks (sp) in Drogheda beside the water park have tonnes of cheap carpets…. I think that place homeplan on the cement road (on the same road as Aldi over at smyths) is closing down and they told me that they have remenants in their warehouse that they will be selling off, think they are closing down this week so you might grab a bargain, then about 90 euro to fit…..

I have a 13 by 13 Ulster wool carpet (cost well over 1k) its cream in colour will sell for 50 euro if you want

Excellent… thanks! I’m in Bettystown… so that isn’t too far away.
By the way Taylor…. my room is about 6.5 m x 3.5 m… so your carpet would be too small…. thanks anyway…. 🙂

Mccormacks are great for deals… I can’t remember the price but I know i got carpet for my stairs and landing for next to nothing there and it still looks good as new. It was a remnant so we were lucky that we liked it. Worth a look.

Its usually worth having a look in floorstyle beside the boyne shopping center. The last few carpets I got from there, I looked in carpet right and as far as I could figure out they have really high prices on everything and then tell you they’ll give you 50% off and still work out more expensive.

Just a note on carpet right – know someone who worked there and they aren’t cheap at all. Don’t be fooled by the sales either, they’re permanent, all they do is rotate the items being reduced.
If you need to save money, don’t buy the underlay or the gripper bars from ANY carpet shop. Buy them yourself from the likes of woodies/homebase/b&q, you’ll save yourself a fortune!

Went to Carpet right and to McCormacks…. and will definately go with the latter when the time comes. Such a nice guy, and willing to go the extra mile…. whereas the former does work our more expensive, even with their sale. So thanks for your feedback gals!
