Anybody living in the Tullow area? I’m hopefully moving there in a few years and would love to makle some friends in the area. My husband is origanally from there. And Any good information about schools and playschools? I will be living in Liscolman, close to Tullow . What’s a good primary school in the area?
I know people who are new to the area and having a really hard time settling in and would love to meet with nice people for sociaisling even the occasional coffee? Anybody in the same boat?October 19, 2009 at 10:54 am #79657LainMemberhi sunshineorla ive recently moved to tullow and really like it!! dont know many people yet but its very friendly!

October 20, 2009 at 12:10 am #79744RamuneMemberHello,
I lived near Tullow, moved here 3 months ago. I am originally from LIthuania but lived in N.Ireland for almost 6 years. I have a baby girl who is 2 months old now- we still do not go out much, but Id love to get to know some mums that live in the area!
October 20, 2009 at 8:37 am #79752sunshineorlaMemberHi Ramune and Lain,
Which areas are you in? Maybe some morning everyone could meet for coffee. A chance to get out of the house and meet all the other mums and newbies to the area. Anyone interested?
OrlaOctober 20, 2009 at 3:34 pm #79857RamuneMemberHello Orla,

October 26, 2009 at 10:47 am #80292sunshineorlaMemberSo maybe a tuesday then? Any suggestions of where to meet?
Hello nz2. Welcome to mumstown 😆October 26, 2009 at 11:49 pm #80324RamuneMemberThe long weekend is over and -finally- the marathon of guests is over too! Good news is that my little one four night in a row slept from 10.30/11 pm to 8.30/ 9.00 am without waking up- I feel so human after fewnights of proper sleep.
I am looking forward to our meeting- Tuesadys suit me OK although I am quite flexible. I would suggest the Rathwood Garden Centre- thats the only place I know. Maybe others know any other nice children friendly places? I must contact rathwood to see if they’d like to become our permanent meeting spot and even offer discount- maybe then even more mums would want to join us? What do you think?October 27, 2009 at 12:38 am #80325nz2MemberHi everyone just trying to think of child friendly places in tullow there is not alot -the only place i can think of is th blue barn which is just before carlow but that might be a bit far?If you cant find any where suitable you are all welcome to come to my house as its very child friendly of course .!Any way i will try and think of somewhere else too rach 🙂
October 27, 2009 at 8:22 am #80327sunshineorlaMemberWhats the blue barn, rach?
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 am #80328sunshineorlaMemberOh yes Rathwood. They have lovely food there. Sometimes places will put out play mats and toys for you if ity’s going to be a regular thing. What do ya all think of Rathwood?
Thats great news Ramune. You can face anything when ya have a good night’s sleep, can’t you? How old is your baby?October 27, 2009 at 11:26 am #80348RamuneMemberI received a reply from Rathwood- they advised me to call in and to speak to the owner about the possible options. I will call in tomorrow as today I have to take the car for the NCT.
My baby is 9 weeks old- she is still hands full. My older one is 13 years old, its hard to keep him entertained too as he is just entering the teenagehood.October 28, 2009 at 8:46 am #80412sunshineorlaMemberThats brilliant ramune. Thanks for doing that.
I am guardian to my 15 year old sister so I know how hard it is. Teenagers should be just kept out of society until they can communicate properly again. Grumpy feckers! Threya re never happy anyway!!!!! 🙄 🙄
Congrats on the new baby. I thought the first 6 weeks were the hardest with my fella. Settles a bit then…I said a bit didnt I???? 😀October 28, 2009 at 11:13 pm #80459nz2Memberhey orla the blue barn is great place to take kids it has huge play area for older kids and for your wee man has a play area . in balls and stuff they love it.It is free for under 2 but after that you have to pay.You can have a coffee while watching the kids play.My boys love it-it keeps them entertained while you can have a chat.
Hey ramune i will be interested in how you get on with rathwood as when i have been there with my 2 toddlers they havnt been very understanding but who knows they may have been having an off day.I thought you might want to know i go to a mother and toddler group in tullow on tuesday mornings-my boys love it.maybe when your little one gets abit older you could come. Its just great to get out of the house!! hopefully we will meet soon take care hope you get some sleep! rach -
