    Thanks for posting that Mummy5.

Its not just lumps that cause problems – any changes in the breasts can be a cause for concern. My MIL last year had a dent in her breast last year, she said it was NOT A LUMP, it was like a change in the shape of the breast and when she got it checked, it was breast cancer.

Thank goodness she went to her GP as soon as she noticed it and after 2 surgeries and some chemo and radio therapy, she has been given the all clear.

Its so worrying but acting fast is vital and can literally, save your life. If you have a worry about anything like this, please please do not ignore it – just get it checked. Its best to be safe.

So true Sabbi, sometimes we think its a ‘lump’ we will find but its not always that way. Sometimes it can even be so subtle as a niggling achy feeling under your armpit and it can be a first sign of cancer. Your breast tissue ( and lymph nodes) reaches up under your armpit area and it can be there that might be your first ‘sign’ something not quite right. Also lumps can be smooth, large, small, etc. not just a ‘pea’ shape image which I think most of us have. If in doubt, check it out as I say.
