Well…….this weekend i have just discovered that someone has played a trick on me to do with my business……
as many of you know i work as a reflexologist from home and advertise on mumstown and occasionally in local papers….so my mobile no is seen by many…….
my hubby rang my phone over the weekend and said he couldnt understand my message……so i rang it and i heard a scary voice say
"dont leave a message" very quietly and spookily………
Oh my god that frightened me, as i thought it may be a spirit playing a trick but this spirit had an irish accent so soon woke up to myself on that one!!
Rang vodafone and apparently because my phone was not pasword protected it is possible to change someones elses voicemail message without touching their phone……..I am now password protected, so if anyone rings me now, they will hear my voice loud and clear…..
If anyone has rang me and heard this message i must apologise, I am not sure how long it has been on there, all i know is that I havent had many messages recently!!
Just to warn anyone that is not so up on all this, like myself that people can play tricks!!

Ps..it may be someone in same work as me, like what Alison has been experiencing on her thread…….I sincerely hope not as that is just so mean.
its so easy to do rainbow, my mates used to change their voice mails on each other all the time. always use a password!!!!!!!!!!!

that’s awful…..that’s so cruel horrible when somebody does that to try and sabatoage your buissness awful….no good will come to them either

Just seen your post and I can’t believe how MEAN that is. Is there anyway you can find out who did it? Also how do you get your phone password protected, my mob number is also quite public for work stuff so I’d like to make sure that my message can’t be changed.
I’m really shocked Moonflower, must have given you a scare. xx

Jmum, you need to ring the service provider and ask how safe your settings are then they tell you codes to use to change password etc if its not very secure…..same with amount of rings……my phone only used to do about 3 then go to voicemailand i just couldnt work out how to change it but this apparently you need to contact them for the code…..mad….
but when i think of it i did advertise in local paper and had a man ring up looking for massage etc (if you know what i mean) coudl of been him or when i used to organise the speed dating nights, had a couple of rude phonecalls back then and so could be one of these individuals…..
A word to everyone when i had these rude calls, i just told the men clearly and confidently that I could see their number and knew who they were and if they rang again would report them to the guards…..they put phone down straight away…….they thought they had withheld number (which was right, but they didnt need to know that and it worked!!)
people are so sad doing that, i remember years ago that happened to me i think was one of my ex’s but the weird thing was that everytime i was out nothing happened then once i had walked in the door got into bed the calls would start and they were filthy calls, they would always say that they could see me knew where i was etc, and weird thing it was like i was beingfollwed……i started going out with a garda then and i had been telling him he wasn’t impressed and made me come to the station and give a statement as i was giving him the statement and hearing what was being said he got really furious….it’s was disgusting not only heavy breathing and dirty talk but sexual noises iykwim……so he got a trace on my number, then one day i was over in his house and he happened to answer the phone said nothing let it go for a min or so and then said this is garda such and such from r garda station and that the phone was being traced and that he was going to get a visit ….the phone hung up and nothing happened after that….he then made me change my number gave my old one to my brother he got one or 2 phonecalls but when they realised it was a man answering they hung up…..but what a weirdo i got no pleasure in it…..

For a few weeks I was getting texts at two or three in the morning all it would say was hi..then a few weeks back it said are you wearing panties 😯 always from the same number..i never replied back as I think thats what eggs them on..havent had any for a while now.
It would be very easy to terryfy someone thru texts thobut they’re thick when they text you can’t hide your number so you’ll always get caught out……the calls i got were disgusting……i was so desperate to find out who it was i aws listening to the voice to try figure out who it was it sounded like one particular guy i had dated…..i started saying to his friedns that had been getting weirdo calls and the garda bf had set up a trace but nothing happend until garda bf actually answered the phone…….
but text messages they are saddos……one of the lads i worked with sent me a pic there before x-mas by mistake a naughty pic, i said it to him he was mortified his friends were messing with his phone…..
HMM all the phone companies have prank call sections and even if a number is withheld they can still trace.
We had calls to my parents house years ago, my dad had sacked a local young fella for stealing and other issues…. the calls started not long after (but we didnt see the link) it was a woman on the line and some of the things she said were so vulgar and rude…. she was say my mam was off out having an affair or when my dad was out the call would come saying my dad was off doing the bold thing. My dad went mad and kept asking my mum where she was going and who she would be with etc… Mam got fed up and called eircom and the garda, they traced the call and it was the mother of the lad that was sacked.
This woman goes to mass everyday and licks the alter rails, the comes out a makes evil prank calls 😯 😯 😯 So sometimes its not always kids doing it but sick adults
