Hi Girls – just wondering if there is any groups in the area? DS is now 4months old and it would be nice to get out andmeet other mums with babies…

    Thanks!

Baby swim on fridays 10am in B court, then tea/scones. Some mums just go for the after swim.

Donacarney community hall (old red building) wed and thurdays 10 am.

    Lots of choice.
All are pay as you go. You can try them all and see wihch one you prefer. All run by different persons.

The Friday morning swim is lovely and is only 5 euro at the Bettystown Court Hotel. Then you can stay for tea/coffee and scones for 2.95. Its a lovely morning and you can come at 11 for the snacks and chat if you don’t fancy the swim.

Aside form that, there are monthly events in Drogheda too:

1st Tuesday of each month, get together at Bagel bar, Laurence Town Centre 10am. Free parking, free nibbles, play area and special discounts etc

1st Tuesday of every month, Scotch Hall event 2pm. Again free parking, play area, special offers in stores.

Hope to see you soon, there are always lots of new mums at these events so hope you can make it along Friday or at the beginning of March for the Drogheda ones.

Its nice to get out and chat while the kids have a play…..

best thing i ever did was to join in with these mums & babies groups, being new comer to area with no friends or family was great way to build up a social network for DS & for me! DS is starting school soon so have moved on from these but was so grateful they were set up when i needed them!

    Moonflower,

You should come to the Scotch Hall event on April 6th, its a Tuesday afternoon, around 2pm.

There is arts & crafts specifically for the older toddlers and children. They can paint on a big wall, make masks, draw pictures and basically get covered in paint (its easily washable) and be deliriously happy!

There is free parking, free stuff for mums and dads, discounts in lots of the shops and of course, plenty of chat over a coffee with the other mums & dads.

I bring my 2 and 4 year old girls and they love it!
