It kind of depends on how babes feels on the day…..

I had a 3D one done before DS was born, and I have to say, apart from the fact that he didn’t want to play ball, and look into the camera 🙄 it was great fun. The 2D shows the outline of the baby, but the 3D is great, especially if you get to see the little face!

    What is 4D?

I had a 3D (in the Lourdes, they have a secret one!!) on DS. It was brilliant but a little CG ish, didn’t look real. We only got to see on screen no photos or video.

    I got the printouts etc….
as far as I’m aware, the 4D is even more detail….

I got a 3d scan done when i was pregnant with ds, i thought it was amazing and so did dh, could see him moving around and facial features and his hand going into his mouth. got a dvd and about 6/8 pics aswell. didnt get it done on dd as we couldnt justify the expense of it, I had gone part-time in work and we just didnt have the money

    hiya!
i had 3d done on both my pregnancys, first one was a disaster, as u know sabbi my daughter was born very sick and the 3d scan 6 weeks prior to this completely missed it, i know they are very clear in not offering a medical scan but i always wonder how the hell did they miss the massssssive probs on my daughter, also in this clinic i had to go and have mcdonalds milkshake n try and wake baby and then return another day to get it re done and both times they missed the signs, i mean not to notice that at over 30weeks the baby was only 1lb?? anyway on my 2nd i was reffered to another place and they were amazing, they are all specifically trained and all scans are seen by the dr from the rotunda who specialises in nuchal scans n stuff, i was in for over and hour and they showed me everything, even the baby drinking and having a wee pee!!! i got the dvd and it was soooo clear, she even had the hiccups during it, no carry on with fizzy drinks n stuff either!!

def would recommend it regardless of my first experience, suppose just stress the lack of medical knowledge in some places and to check out options xx
