Was VERY careful typing that topic title.
Anyway, anyone had it? I have some questions if so…
I have wild-woman-of-Borneo-wig. And some kind of throwback gene that gives me afro-style curls at side of my face, it’s a look, ladies, lemme tell you, when u a ginner as well. Will it work for me?
How long does the treatment take to do?
Can you have ghd curls put in for a night after you have had it sone and then will you lovely blow-dry look return after?
How much?
Best place in Drog to have it?
I may be getting it for myself for Xmas (because I’m worth it) if your responses are favourable.

I seen an ad in Drogheda Leader saying that Sapphir on Laurences St do that treatment. I dont know anybody that has had it done, sorry
November 28, 2009 at 10:09 am #82781hjsMemberYeah, that one is Sharper Image Taylor. The owners live 2 doors from me so gonna go in and have a glass vino and a chat about it in next couple of days, but thought I saw it adv in Leader and wondered about getting another perspective also before deciding.
My hair has life of its own, have been battling it foe 25 years so would love to beat it, the sod!
November 28, 2009 at 11:05 pm #82811Taylor5MemberThats it I knew a girl who would come to Drogheda to get the treatment done every few weeks, her hair was stunning… so long and so straight, just how you see Asian girls
November 29, 2009 at 9:45 am #82820YvonneMemberMy sis does this in the hairdresser she works in in England and she told me that is does work and it will last… think its pretty expensive.. must ask her a bit more about it.
November 29, 2009 at 12:17 pm #82825hjsMemberGirls, your comments and info are much appreciated, thanks.
November 30, 2009 at 12:51 am #82851Taylor5MemberI think a few years back it was over the 200 mark but things have gone down in price…. shop about and play one shop off the other for a better price
November 30, 2009 at 9:14 am #82858WonderwomanMemberThere’s a place in Dundalk that do it…and it definitely works, I’ve seen the results…just be carefule that the place in Drogheda are doing the same treatment..i think they use a product called Carotene (something like that)….the cost is something like €180…but i think they are doing a promo..and its about €130-€150. not bad if you add up how many blowdrys you might pay for in 12 weeks.
if u need more info..pm me and i’ll ask my friend for the name & phone number

December 8, 2009 at 10:02 pm #83432newmommaMemberHi HJS,
Was at the hairdressers today and was thinking of getting this done myself for when baba arrives but she doesn’t reccommend them. The salon don’t do them at the moment but have been looking into it and she says they only do a 6 week blow dry now not a 12 week any more. Also the chemicals they use are really harsh as they need to pre-treat & treat etc and wouldn’t be good if your hair was coloured all ready. Also, it doesn’t mean you would be washing or blow-drying any less often – which is why I wanted it- but just spending a little less time on the blow-drying & styling. She did say it would probably take out most kinks or curls tho. So thats what she thought of it any-way. HTh a little

Cut ‘n crew doing promo in Dundalk, clanbrassil St. costs 120€ a friend of mine got it done on Wed, not allowed wash her hair or tie it back etc til monday, so she will let me know what its like. Said that it was all proteins etc that they put into your hair and then they dried your hair with all that stuff in it, didn’t wash it out etc.. so will see, she has a major head of highlights and they said it would be great!
Mizu do do it, but mega expensive there!
