Here is some information from Alison Canavan about her show on this weekend 13th October, 11am-5pm, Carnegie Court Hotel Swords, Dublin where ADMISSION IS FREE

"The 0-TO-TODDLER SHOW has been a dream of mine that’s finally becoming a reality. I am about passionate about early childhood learning and development and I truly believe that our children need to be the focus of our attention now and in the future. One size does not fit all and every child is different.

This show will give real tangible information to parents empowering them to be the best parents they can be. I learn every day from Mums and Dads here in Ireland. I get fantastic tips and this is a great opportunity to share information and learn from each other.

We will be taking a look at both the health of our children and ourselves from a holistic perspective. We will discuss the importance of good nutrition, lifestyle and fitness and how these directly affect our mental health and wellbeing. Formative years specialist Aisling O’Dhoibhilin from The Toddler Inn talks about The importance of outdoor play with reference to our high obesity levels. With Aisling we will also take a look at literacy and numeracy, the importance of music and building self esteem and confidence in the early years.

Ollwyn Morancreator of creeper crawlers will be discussing neurological development in children, in other words how the brain is wired. She’ll be talking about the importance of crawling and other developmental milestones. She also talks to us about developing the balance system. This talk is one not to be missed! In association with Shield Health we will look at the importance of Omega 3 and Vitamin D and We also have Niamh O’Reilly the “sleep doctor” fromTheNursery.ie discussing sleep and daily routine.

PARENTLINE will be at the show. They are the only national helpline for PND in Ireland and having suffered myself it is a topic very close to my heart.

Our next show is on the 13th of October in the Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords. We have great giveaways and competitions on the day. We’ll have face painting, Musical Tots, special kids meals and much more on the day. A great day out for all the family so come and join in the fun. Hope to see you there!!
