This time 20 years ago I was pulling clothes out of the washing machine when my waters broke! My Mam was here with my 2 younger sisters and they cleaned up the spill while I made sandwiches to take to the hospital, while my husband ran around like a headless chicken! At the hospital I went from 3cm to 10cm in 1 hour (it was intense!) and then with only 3 pushes, she came into the world. They placed her on my belly and I swear on my life, she crawled up to my boob and started feeding. I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it myself! She was a beautiful baby, an adventurous toddler (she put my wedding ring on her Dora doll and its never been found since!) a curious child, a not too stroppy teenager and now, a clever, thoughtful, bright, ambitious, fantastic young woman.
