Thanks julymam – im going to go tonight. It sounds good & only €45 for the 12 weeks (much cheaper then ww or slimworld) plus they have a got a discount with aura for only €6 for any excercise class for the 12 weeks, so cant beat that.December 28, 2010 at 10:51 pm #106701libby1ParticipantWhat can i do this year? That will be different?
Holidays in June / Confirmation in May / Black tie Ball March……. 😳 😳December 28, 2010 at 11:20 pm #106703MaryEMemberSusan said that she would arrange another weigh in thing with boots in the new year, so that can help you achieve your aim.
I’ve eaten so much over xmas that i think ive put on all the weight that i lost-lol I will be back on the straight and narrow come the new year.
One of the biggest changes that i made this year to help my weight was with my shopping, i dont buy any processed food for the freezer (no pizza, burgers etc) , no crisps (none of us need them) or fizzy drinks & just a couple of packets of biscuits. If its not in the house it cant be eaten. i make big pots of dinners & freeze them, its just as handy & much better for us. Then we are not tempted by fatty take aways. I think it defo helps.
You are not alone & we will all be looking for inspiration next week.

December 29, 2010 at 11:52 am #106712JedtKeymasterFood is a big part of it but exercise is so important too. I walk to the shops instead of driving whenever I can and I exercise at Lab Fitness, their classes are great and are ideal for all levels (and those who are clumsy and fall over their feet, like me 😳 😳 )
When I cannot get out of the house (eg snow) I do an exercise DVD at home. Doing a class or walking 3-4 times a week makes a big difference.
Its not just about cutting out bad foods, its about getting off your backside too!
Eat less, move more – that works for me!

December 29, 2010 at 4:51 pm #106725AnonymousInactivereally curious about hypnosis to help.Know it won’t be the magic cure but was talking to someone who used it to help quit smoking..it really worked. The ‘urge’ to smoke is gone….imagine loosing the ‘urge’ to eat crap 😀

December 30, 2010 at 7:08 pm #106757GlendaByrneMemberHi Everyone, my name is Glenda. I am opening a new Slimming World Group in Drogheda, in The Thatch (Domegans), on the Donore Road on Tuesday night at 7.30pm. Slimming World has been a great success story for me as I have tried all the diets under the sun since I was 18 (now 45) and it took this group to work for me, hence my starting up as a new consultant. There are some great opening offers at the min for the start of the New Year. Membership fee is normally €18 plus your €9 weekly fee, but this has been reduced to €18 in total. Also, should five people wish to join together they only have to pay the weekly fee of €9 each. If any of you have any question please feel more than free to PM me. By the way, all partners welcome too !!!!!
