Parents might think it a bit yucky because of the colour but it’s healthy and really appeals to kids! By: Minichefs
Ingredients
15 Chicken Wings
1 Large Clove Garlic
3 Tablespoons Muscovado Sugar
3 Tablespoons Light Soy Sauce OR Worcester Sauce
3 Tablespoons Tomato Puree
2 Tablespoons Runny Honey
Black, Blue & Green Food Colouring
Instructions
Preheat oven to 109C/375F/Gas 5.
Put wings in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil. Cook for about 20 minutes.
While waiting for the wings to cook prepare the sauce.
Crush the clove of garlic then add sugar, soy sauce, tomato puree & honey and mix really well together. Add the food colouring about 3 drops at a time for each colour until the sauce looks black in colour. Pour into an oven proof dish (large enough for the wings). Drain the wings thoroughly then carefully add them to the sauce and coat evenly. Bake in the oven for a further 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and turn the wings over again. Leave to cool slightly before serving as they will be eaten by hand!
