Malahide Castle & Gardens is a beautiful place to visit, especially on a sunny day as a family. Pack a picnic or pop into Avoca for a coffee and some scrummy snacks. Make sure to visit the Butterfly Garden and Fairy Trail, its a gorgeous experience to bring the kids here and there is plenty of space for them to run around too!
A firm favourite of ours since our kids were babies is Newbridge House & Farm, the animals are so sweet and you can get up close to them and really interact with them, which is so lovely for the kids. Make sure to go upstairs in the barn – its fab! The walk around the farm is lovely, there is a cute gift shop, cafe and of course, yummy ice creams! Keep and eye out for the peacocks, they are spectacular!

The Casino cottage, described as one of the finest thatched cottages in the country, has been a landmark in the picturesque village of Malahide for over 200 years.
