Meatballs & Spaghetti



1lb extra lean mince
1 onion grated
1 egg
Salt & pepper
1 slice of bread made into breadcrumbs
Plain flour


1 Tin tomatoes
1/2 jar passata
2 tbls Worcestershire sauce
2 tbls soy sauce
1 table spoon water
1 onion


To make the meatballs, add all of the meatball ingredients with the exception of the flour into a large bowl.
Sprinkle flour on surface and hands. Spoon out enough mixture into your hands to make a meatball, no larger than golf ball. This should make up about 16 depending on size.
Heat a little oil in frying pan and brown the meatballs in batches, they only need to be slightly cooked as will fully cooked in sauce. Set aside
To make sauce, saute onion and garlic and then add remaining ingredients, slowly bring to boil. Transfer the meatballs and sauce in casserole dish and cook in the over for 45 mins at 180c.
