The meditation, giant exercise classes and sense of family inclusiveness and fun made it such a special weekend. Toddlers running around, families enjoying the glorious weather, meditation and lots more made it such a fantastic event.

Commenting on the launch of their first in-person event in two years, Helena Ryan, co-founder of WellFest, said: “Having taken the event online during the pandemic, we are really looking forward to WellFest being back at the RHK this year – bigger and better than ever before!

“Over lockdown people really turned to health and fitness experts online – from getting into yoga, doing online workouts or practicing meditation. We’re delighted now to be bringing so many of these experts and well-known faces together over one weekend in May. Feel-good health and wellness events such as ours are needed now more than ever before. The line-up is our strongest to-date and we’re looking forward to filling the fields of the RHK again this year.”

New Headline Partner

Ireland’s largest athleisure brand, Gym+Coffee is the new headline partner for the 2022 festival. The brand has been linked to WellFest for over five years, having first attended as an exhibitor in 2017. Following their recent expansion in Ireland and the UK, they are taking on the role as headline partner this year.

As part of the new partnership, the main stage at the festival will now be known as the ‘Gym+Coffee Main Stage’, where the biggest stars at the festival will take to host their workouts.

Over the weekend, Gym+Coffee will also have their own area on-site, which will feature talks with Gym+Coffee ambassadors as well a shop with a selection of their best-selling activewear.

Commenting on the partnership, Diarmuid McSweeney from Gym+Coffee said: “Gym+Coffee has had a presence at WellFest since 2017 – when we first attended the event as an exhibitor with one rail of clothing and just a few products! We are really proud of our growth over the past number of years, and are delighted now to be in a position to come on board as headline partner.

“Since we first established Gym+Coffee, we’ve worked hard on building a sense of community through the brand and we know that that is at the core of WellFest too. There’s always such a positive vibe throughout the weekend – and we can’t wait to be part of that again in May.”

UK Expansion

Also announced today was WellFest’s expansion into the UK, with its debut event taking place on the 2nd and 3rd July in Old Deer Park, Richmond, London. Gym+Coffee have also been revealed as the headline partner for the UK event. The line-up for WellFest UK will be announced on 8th of February 2022 and will include international stars from the health, fitness and wellness industry.

Commenting on the company’s expansion into the UK, Helena said: “We’re delighted to be bringing WellFest to the UK this summer having postponed our original debut event in 2020, due to the pandemic. This marks an exciting new phase of growth for us and for our community of wellness fans.

“Over the past seven years, WellFest has moved from being a passion project for myself and my co-founders to becoming an internationally recognised brand that attracts the most influential fitness stars. The UK health and fitness stars that have been to WellFest in Dublin regularly comment that WellFest is unlike any other event in the industry and that we should bring it to London – so that is what we are doing!

“We created the event to be as exhilarating as any music festival and we can’t wait to recreate that WellFest vibe in London.”

In addition to Gym+Coffee, a number of new and returning partners have also been announced for WellFest’s May event.
