Back to school this year it likely going to offer more challenges than most other years. It’s so important that we can get into a routine as quickly as possible. Here are a few tips that you might find useful to get things sorted:
– Prep yourself first and you’ll be able to help everyone else in the house, that bit easier
– Get everything organised the night before
– Plan a routine
– Manage your own anxiety levels by giving yourself enough time and space to get into the new routine
– Nerves and anxiety are normal for everyone
– Look to get a good bedtime routine sorted asap
– If things are all over the place, don’t be too hard on yourself or anyone else, things will get into a routine
– If child is very nervous, give them a notebook to write down how the day went
– Don’t be surprised if, when you ask, how was the day, they say fine…their brains have been working a lot harder than they have for months
– If you have someone suffering with severe anxiety, get in touch!
Here’s an article we published previously with some other hints and tips –
