Father’s day – some ideas for spoiling the Daddies!

It’s Fathers Day on Sunday 21st June and as we are in strange times, its good to get a bit creative with the gifts this year! Here are some ideas for gifts for Dad or Grandad!

Spotlight Oral Care – an Irish brand, Spotlight was created by two dentists, who are sisters. Their range of toothpastes, floss, mouthwash, whitening strips are all eco-friendly and they work so well. We have been fans for a while and if you want to get something special for a guy this Father’s day, why not pick up one of their fab gift sets, see here? Our top pick for the guys is this gift set for €57.80

If he likes crisps, you could make him up a hamper at home of these new Irish crisps, Clinton’s. Made in Ashbourne, with potatoes grown in Skerries, they are so yum. Perfect with a beer or glass of lemonade while relaxing in the garden or snuggling up to watch a movie!

Good news! The Village Hotel restaurant and bar is re-opening on 29th June! If he likes his grub, why not get him a gift voucher or better still, book a date for dinner now to let him know you’ll be going there soon. We cannot wait to go for dinner and have their mouth watering flat iron steak, followed by their Village Hotel mess, washed down a bottle of their superb Australian Shiraz. (My mouth is actually watering right now just thinking about it!) Contact here for bookings

If he likes clothes, the range from Lighthouse Clothing is really good. Well made in gorgeous fabrics and with lots of offers to choose from, they have a great range of polo shirts, shits and jackets. We particularly like this jacket as a #FathersDay gift, was €71, now €24!! There is a also a great offer on polo shirts, 3 for the price of 2! See here

If you would like to treat him to a few days away once the restrictions have been lifted, Fota Island Resort is a fabulous spot for a romantic or family getaway. It is one of our favourite spots in Ireland, highly recommend! They are reopening on 29th June. Yay!

If he has a sweet tooth, how about some really nice sweets! Pandora Bell is a fantastic range of Irish made sweets in gorgeous flavours. My hubby’s fave is the Rhubarb and Vanilla hard boiled sweets. Delish! Order online here
