Complimentary drink on arrivalIn order to raise valuable funds for our free outreach programme for young people and children, Droichead Arts Centre is excited to host an extraordinary evening of Traditional Irish Music and Song, hosted by Louth’s acclaimed fiddler Gerry O’Connor, featuring a wealth of national and international talent, including special guests The Irish Rovers. The Irish Rovers will be travelling all the way from the United States for their first ever performance in Drogheda.
The gala concert’s exceptional line up continues with The O’Connor Family, Máire Ní Choilm, Kern, Niamh Parsons as well as SJ McArdle with Carol Keogh, John Ruddy and Josh Johnston. Proudly sponsored by FloGas Ireland, it promises to be a remarkable evening, as these leading lights of traditional Irish music and arts join forces to contribute to Drogheda and the North East’s leading arts centre.

Our Outreach Programme
Here at Droichead Arts Centre, we are committed to ensuring that the arts and cultural programme is freely available and accessible to all children, no matter their circumstances. Our outreach programme for young people and children visits schools across Louth and East Meath, as well as providing a variety of tours, workshops and classes in the arts centre. In 2018, we engaged with over 2,000 children in 25 schools in this region. In 2019, we hope to do even better, but we need your support to continue to provide this ambitious programme.
As a major cultural hub in the North East, Droichead Arts Centre is home to a variety of theatre, film, visual art and music. Join us for this wonderful evening of Irish Traditional Music and Song, and help us bring the arts to a new generation.
