Want to See how the History Hunters dig deep to uncover Dublin’s past! or learn how archaeology works with history and science to piece together the jigsaws of our ancestor’s lives and lifestyles?
Well you can during National Heritage Week as we put on a special free tour of our History Hunters exhibitions.
See genuine Viking and Medieval artefacts including the skeletal remains of a Viking warrior and a medieval woman, both found in Dublin, courtesy of the National Museum of Ireland. Hear the languages of old Dublin and explore the city’s earliest maps. Finally in the Past Today, see how we are influenced by the Viking and Medieval era in today’s books, movies, fashion and architecture.
Heritage week runs from the 18th to the 26th of August inclusive and are at 11.30am to 12.15pm everyday.
