We had a fantastic night at our new local The Village Hotel on Friday. Started off sharing Goats Cheese tart, with local pesto. For main I had Flat iron steak – one of nicest dinners I’ve had in years – the meat literally flaked apart when I put my fork in; it was so delicious.
Hubby had rib-eye and devoured it. We shared a bottle of Argentinian Shiraz which complimented the food perfectly and then we had some Bellingham blue cheese and Eton tidy for dessert.
We finished off the night with two of the house speciality cocktails, the Tara Brooch and the Mornington Glory. They were just so delicious, that Mornington Glory is going to be my new fave cocktail. Beautiful spot, gorgeous & comfy decor and very friendly staff. We will be regulars for sure. Very impressed!
